Canyon Skimmer is a spiffy little BASIC program that I consider to be
the best racing-based game ever written in BASIC (that I have seen).
It is even better than many assembly written racing games! It is the best
program for its size that I have made. Battle II is a better game, but it
takes more memory.

The basic idea of the game is to race through a canyon (thus the name)
until you get to a "boss." Since you keep going after beating the boss,
maybe that is not a good name. Sue me.

Features:
	*Five Skill Levels
	*Save Game Option
	*Top Five High Scores List
	*Cheat Codes
	*Hints (that most likely won't do you any good!)
	*Enhanced CSGAME options including
		-Loading and Saving from Canyon Skimmer
		-Viewing saved game data
		-Deleting saved games from Canyon Skimmer

NEW IN v1.2!!!!!!!!
	*Initials in High Scores List
	*Three install options including:
		-Canyon Skimmer (cs.83g) - full version
		-Canyon Skimmer [Compact] (csreduce.83p) - no extra options
			but same great game and smaller size!
		-Canyon Skimmer [Minimum] (csmin.83p) - no extra options or
			initials in high scores list, but it plays the same
			for a lot less memory!

Note: CSGAMES is an optional program that allows you to save six extra
	games in addition to the regular save game feature. You shouldn't
	use this program unless you plan to have two or more games going
	at once (this may be useful if you have friends...). Simply send
	cs.83g to your calculator, run prgmCANYON, and choose "add csoptions"
	from the first menu. If you don't want CSGAMES, just send CANYON.83p
	instead of cs.83g.

I have included a list of the keys used in the game and what the objects
are, but for those of you too lazy to check, here they are:

				   Keys
		     		> = move right
		     		< = move left
		     		MODE = quit
		     		DEL = shoot
		     		ENTER = pause
		     		^ = enter cheat code
				MATH=Teacher!

				  Objects
				^ = your ship
				G = charge gun
				S = charge shilds
				>   < = shild disabler
				-+- = "boss"
				 T

Notes: The MODE key will give you a few options if you press it in the
	canyon. This is where you will find the save option(s). The DEL key
	only works when you are facing the boss. Don't try to shoot your way
	out of the canyon. It won't work. Cheat codes only work at bosses.

	To type in your initials for a high score, use the letters printed
	above each key to see which ones to press. The back arrow erases.

	The G and S objects are only included in an animated scene. The
	scene may suck, (this is in BASIC, people) but I decided to let you
	know what the heck is happening in it. A shield disabler simply
	disables your shields before entering a	canyon.

Known bugs:
	1 - The game is too slow. It's okay, but can no longer compete with
	    an ASM game.
	2 - If you delete prgmZCSGAMES from your memory without removing the
	    options first, CANYON SKIMMER will still think it is there.
	    After deleting prgmZCSGAMES (or before) use the "remove options"
	    command in the continued first menu (full version of game).

Fixed bugs from v1.1:
	1 - The "cancel" option for deleting and loading and saving CSGAMES
	    works now
	2 - Erasing the high scores will no longer remove csoptions as well

Fixed bugs from first internet release:
	1 - High scores doesn't mess up anymore.
	2 - CSGAMES is now fully integrated into CANYON SKIMMER.

Fixed bugs from before internet release:
	1 - In the scene right after killing a boss, the shield disabler used
	    to destroy your shields whether you have any or not.
	2 - CSGAMES used to be a completely independent program and was very
	    buggy.

Future versions:
		1 - A way to win the game
		2 - Fix any new bugs
		3 - Faster game speed (if possible. I am beginning to doubt
		    that it is)
		4 - An Assembly version*

		    *I don't know assembly, and I doubt I will learn it any
			time soon. If you know assembly, you can write
			this game in it and just mention me somehow (game
			concept/design or one of the programmers). You could
			include an "about Canyon Skimmer" option in the menu
			or something.

If you want to let me know about a bug, program idea, hint, or assembly
version, or if you want another of my programs (and you are too lazy to go to
www.ticalc.org) you can e-mail me at fritzophrenic@hotmail.com. DO NOT
e-mail me at the address listed at ticalc.org. It is incorrect.

By the way, check out my latest game, BATTLE II!!!! It is REALLY cool!!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
